The Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) has announced a temporary water supply disruption affecting several areas, including Ikeja and Ogudu, due to urgent repair works at the Adiyan I Water Treatment Plant.
The shutdown will allow engineers to fix a major leak in a raw water pipeline at the Akute Intake Station. LWC said the leak has weakened surrounding soil, creating safety concerns and slowing work on the Adiyan Phase II expansion project.
Other affected areas include Magodo, Oregun, Ketu, Ojota, Maryland, Gbagada, Shomolu, Agege, and parts of Lagos Island. Residents may experience low or no water supply during the repair period.
The corporation says repair crews are working to restore normal supply as quickly as possible. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
