Niger State Governor Mohammed Umar Bago has assured that the North will vote massively for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election. He made this known during a live programme on Television Continental, where he declared that President Tinubu has delivered on his campaign promises and deserves the support of Nigerians, especially from the Northern region.
Governor Bago said he would personally serve as Director General of Tinubu’s 2027 re election campaign, with Niger State hosting the campaign headquarters. According to him, there is no going back on this decision as the region remains firmly behind the President.
He explained that the principle of rotation in power remains crucial for national unity and peaceful coexistence, stressing that since the North had produced leaders in the past, it is only fair for the South to hold the presidency until 2031. He noted that Tinubu’s leadership has brought fairness, equity and stability to the system.
The governor further highlighted the administration’s achievements, including increased revenue allocations to Northern states, ongoing development projects and people oriented programmes that have impacted lives across the region. He maintained that these gains are clear reasons why the North will stand by President Tinubu in the next election.
