President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday night met with labour leaders at the State House, Abuja, over the planned nationwide protest by organised labour.
The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), led by its Chairman, Comrade Joe Ajaero, alongside the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma. Also present were the Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo; the Governor of Kebbi State, Dr Nasir Idris; and the Minister of State for Labour, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.
The meeting comes amid growing concerns over the proposed protest, as stakeholders await the outcome of the discussions between the Federal Government and organised labour.
