Talent manager Ubi Franklin says a collaboration between Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy would be tough because their status as the “Big 3” makes them natural rivals. Speaking on the Afropolitan podcast, he compared their dynamic to the competition among Nigeria’s top banks, where fierce rivalry is normal.

Franklin clarified that the rivalry doesn’t mean bad blood behind the scenes. He revealed he has never heard Davido say anything negative about Wizkid or Burna Boy, and he believes the respect goes both ways. The tension is more about industry competition than personal conflict.

According to Franklin, the music environment pushes these stars to compete rather than collaborate, making a joint project challenging. Despite that, he left the door open for understanding their unique positions as leaders in Afrobeats today.
