Yahaya Bello, former governor of Kogi State, has announced his intention to run for the Senate, saying he aims to ease the workload of Governor Usman Ododo.

Speaking on Monday at the palace of Ahmed Tijani Anaje, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Bello explained that Governor Ododo encouraged him to take on a new political responsibility by representing the Ebira people at the national level.

The announcement marks the former governor’s continued influence in Kogi politics as he seeks to maintain a strong presence on the national stage.
