The Yobe State Government has ordered the closure of all boarding secondary schools in the state as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students.

The decision follows a security meeting between Governor Mai Mala Buni and the state’s security chiefs, where recent security incidents affecting schools in various parts of the country were assessed.

Authorities say the closure is temporary and will remain in effect until the security situation improves. The state government has called on citizens to remain vigilant and support measures aimed at protecting students and educational institutions.

Governor Buni emphasized the need for collective efforts to maintain peace and safeguard the welfare of students across Yobe State.
