The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued an important notice to students from six selected universities regarding the recent loan disbursements. The notice follows the announcement of loan approvals for students who applied between May 24th and July 17th, 2024.

Students who have been notified of their loan approval on the NELFUND dashboard are urged to visit their respective institutions to verify that their tuition fees have been received. This verification is critical to ensure that the funds are accurately reflected in their institutional accounts.

The six universities included in the current disbursement cycle are:

1. Bayero University Kano

2. University of Ilorin

3. University of Benin

4. University of Ibadan

5. University of Maiduguri

6. Federal University Dutsinma

NELFUND has emphasized that the loan disbursement process is being conducted in batches. Students who applied after the current disbursement window will have their loans processed in subsequent rounds. The organization assures all students that every approved loan will be disbursed transparently and without delay.

Additionally, students from institutions not included in the current cycle, but who have had their loans approved, are advised to remain patient. Their loans will be included in the upcoming batches.

NELFUND encourages all students to regularly check their application status through the NELFUND portal and to stay informed about the disbursement schedule. The organization remains committed to ensuring that all eligible students receive their funds in a timely manner.
