
I’m President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has launched the Maternal and Neonatal Mortality Reduction Innovation Initiative in Sokoto State, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to safeguarding the lives of mothers and children across Nigeria. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the nation’s healthcare system and deliver on the promises of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The programme is designed to tackle the persistent challenges of maternal and infant mortality through innovative healthcare solutions, improved access to quality medical services, and capacity building for frontline health workers. By leveraging technology, partnerships, and community-based interventions, the initiative seeks to create sustainable improvements in maternal and child health outcomes.
Speaking at the launch, government officials emphasized that the initiative reflects President Tinubu’s priority of placing citizens’ welfare at the heart of national development.
