President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi (Telu I), on the 10th anniversary of his ascension to the ancient throne, celebrated on November 16, 2025.

The President joined the people of Iwoland, as well as friends and associates of the revered monarch, in marking the significant milestone.

President Tinubu praised the Oluwo’s remarkable impact over the past decade, noting his progressive leadership and his unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting Yoruba cultural heritage.

“Like him or hate him, you can hardly ignore his dynamism, leadership, and the deep love his people have for him,” the President said, celebrating the monarch’s influence and achievements.

He further extended his best wishes to Oba Akanbi, praying for many more years of purposeful leadership and continued contributions to the growth and unity of Iwoland.
