Oluremi Tinubu Receives Traditional Title at Ooni’s Coronation Anniversary in Ile Ife

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has been honoured with the traditional title of Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodu’a in Ile Ife during events marking the 10th Coronation Anniversary of the Ooni of Ife.

The royal ceremony brought together a wide gathering of national leaders, former public office holders, governors and respected traditional authorities from across the country. The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, presided over the occasion as the First Lady was formally presented with her staff of office.

Among the dignitaries present were former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan, Governors Ademola Adeleke, Dapo Abiodun and Babajide Sanwo Olu, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the Sultan of Sokoto and the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima.

The honour reflects national recognition of the First Lady’s role in public service, social development and national unity.
