The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has officially transitioned to the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) and unveiled its new logo and institutional identity, marking the start of a revamped era in national revenue administration.
The change comes as the Nigeria Revenue Service Establishment Act, 2025 signed into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu takes effect, replacing the FIRS with the NRS under Nigeria’s comprehensive tax reform framework.
At an Abuja ceremony, NRS Executive Chairman Zacch Adedeji said the new logo and brand identity reflect a renewed commitment to efficiency, transparency, and service excellence as the agency modernises revenue collection and engagement with taxpayers.
The unveiling of the logo comes just ahead of the implementation of key tax laws that take effect on January 1, 2026, as the government pushes to broaden the tax base and improve fiscal operations. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
