
Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed deep sadness over the recent terrorist attack on communities in Borgu Local Government Area.
Through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor described the attack as cruel and nefarious, noting that it resulted in multiple deaths, the kidnapping of several residents, and the destruction of livelihoods. The victims, including both Muslims and Christians, were drawn from various communities in Kasuwan Daji Market and Sukumbara Village.
Governor Bago extended his condolences to the affected families and urged residents to remain resolute in God. He assured that his administration is collaborating with the federal government and security agencies to enhance security in the area.
He confirmed that a joint security team is actively pursuing the terrorists with the aim of rescuing the kidnapped victims. The governor prayed for the repose of the departed souls, the safe return of abducted individuals, healing for the injured, and the restoration of destroyed livelihoods.
