Abbas, Obasa, Faleke, Buhari’s son, others secure APC Reps tickets

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, Chairman of the House Committee on Finance James Faleke, and Yusuf Buhari were among prominent figures who secured APC tickets to contest for seats in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Also securing tickets during the APC primaries were Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, Jimi Benson, Yusuf Gagdi, Ndudi Elumelu and Olumide Osoba.

The primaries also recorded major upsets, with House Majority Leader Julius Ihonvbere reportedly losing his bid, while celebrity businessman Cubana Chief Priest and several lawmakers from Imo and Nasarawa states failed to secure tickets.

In Kaduna, Abbas Tajudeen emerged unopposed in Zaria Federal Constituency and described the endorsement as a strong vote of confidence by APC members. In Lagos, Obasa secured the Agege Federal Constituency ticket unopposed, while Faleke also received overwhelming backing from party members in Ikeja.
