In a significant move toward shaping his administration, President Bola Tinubu has officially requested the Senate to confirm the appointment of seven new ministerial nominees. The request was conveyed to the red chamber on Thursday by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who read the letter to the assembled lawmakers.

The new ministerial nominees, whose names were not immediately disclosed, are expected to fill critical roles within the Federal Executive Council, further bolstering the president’s team as he continues to address the nation’s pressing challenges.

The Senate, following standard procedure, is expected to conduct screening and confirmation hearings to assess the qualifications and suitability of the nominees for their respective positions.

This development marks another step in President Tinubu’s ongoing effort to strengthen his cabinet following his initial ministerial appointments earlier this year.
