Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has arrived at the Nigerian Army International Conference Centre in Abuja to attend the first-year remembrance, prayers and supplication in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The event brought together family members, government officials, political associates and other dignitaries to pray for the repose of the late Nigerian leader and reflect on his contributions to the nation.

Buhari served as Nigeria’s military Head of State from 1983 to 1985 before returning as the country’s democratically elected President from 2015 to 2023.

Representing President Tinubu, the Vice President conveyed the Federal Government’s goodwill to the family of the late former President and joined other attendees in paying tribute to Buhari’s legacy of public service.

The remembrance ceremony formed part of activities marking one year since the passing of the former Nigerian leader.
