Family members, close associates, political leaders and other dignitaries gathered in Abuja to commemorate the first anniversary of the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The remembrance programme featured prayers, tributes and reflections on Buhari’s life, leadership and contributions to Nigeria during his years in public service.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu joined the event alongside senior government officials, former aides, political associates and admirers of the late former president in honouring his legacy.

A commemorative book titled Tributes and Condolences in Honour of Muhammadu Buhari was also unveiled as part of activities marking the one-year remembrance.

Organisers said the gathering was intended to celebrate Buhari’s service to the nation, pray for the peaceful repose of his soul and reflect on the values of unity, discipline and national service he represented.
