The federal government has unveiled the Youth Activity Dashboard, a new technological platform designed to track youth-focused programmes across ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) while creating opportunities for young Nigerians.

The dashboard was launched on Tuesday at an event in Abuja by Titilope Gbadamosi, Special Assistant to the President on Youth Initiatives (Monitoring and Delivery). Gbadamosi described the initiative as a “technological milestone” that would position the youth at the center of Nigeria’s development agenda.

“With over 60% of Nigeria’s population under the age of 25, our young people represent the greatest opportunity for growth, innovation, and leadership,” Gbadamosi said. “The Youth Activity Dashboard is not merely a platform; it is a transformative tool that will revolutionize how we:

1. Track and monitor – aggregating data on youth-focused projects from MDAs, the private sector, and development partners.

2. Analyze and evaluate – providing real-time insights to measure the impact and relevance of these initiatives.”

Gbadamosi, whose office operates under the federal ministry of youth development, emphasized that the platform would ensure transparency in youth empowerment initiatives, helping to identify both successes and areas for improvement.

“By identifying successes and gaps, we can amplify what works and course-correct what does not, ensuring no young person is left behind,” she added.

Commending MDAs for their dedication to youth development programs across various sectors—such as education, employment, health, technology, and agriculture—Gbadamosi noted that the success of the Youth Activity Dashboard relies on collaboration among all stakeholders.

The dashboard is expected to provide accurate, real-time data on the implementation of initiatives aimed at empowering Nigeria’s youth, aligning with the government’s broader vision for sustainable national development.
