
As Nigeria embarks on a new era of economic reforms, the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, has urged the top management staff of the Ministry to leverage their expertise in advancing the nation’s developmental priorities.
This call was made during the assumption of office of the Permanent Secretary Special Duties, Mr. Raymond Omenka Omachi, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Mrs. Lydia Shehu Jafiya, the Minister highlighted that the reforms initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration are designed to enhance the quality of life for Nigerians. He stressed that these changes are pivotal to achieving sustainable economic growth and development.
Mr. Edun emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration within the Ministry, calling on staff to work in unison to achieve the government’s objectives. He commended President Tinubu for appointing the Honourable Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, whose contributions he described as invaluable.

“Her dedication and expertise have been instrumental in driving the Ministry’s efforts to implement economic reforms. I urge all staff to continue exhibiting teamwork, collaboration, and transparency to manage the nation’s finances effectively and deliver on Nigeria’s developmental priorities,” the Minister stated.
In his response, Mr. Raymond Omenka Omachi commended Mr. Wale Edun and Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite for their exceptional leadership, which has enabled the Ministry to fulfill its mandate. He pledged to foster open communication, innovation, and hard work to ensure seamless service delivery.
“We will maintain an open-door policy, encouraging ideas and innovations to improve our operations. I look forward to working closely with my colleague, Mrs. Lydia Shehu Jafiya, the Directors, and the Ministry’s staff to support the Honourable Ministers in achieving the government’s economic goals,” Omachi said.
With renewed commitment and a shared vision, the Federal Ministry of Finance is positioned to drive Nigeria’s economic growth and improve the lives of its citizens.
