I extend my warmest greetings to Christians in Nigeria and around the world as we mark Easter—a sacred celebration of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the foundation of the Christian faith.
This Holy Week, from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, invites us to reflect deeply on the enduring values of sacrifice, love, redemption, and hope.
As President of our great nation, I find renewed inspiration in this timeless message. I remain firmly committed to delivering on our vision of Renewed Hope—a Nigeria that is more just, prosperous, and inclusive for all.
I am deeply saddened by the recent tragic events and the loss of lives in parts of our country. I fully understand the pain and fear these incidents have caused. Let me assure you: my administration remains resolute in restoring peace and security. The forces of evil will not triumph over Nigeria. I have directed the Armed Forces and all relevant security agencies to act decisively and without delay. With the bravery and commitment of our security personnel, we are steadily regaining peace and stability across the country.
We also appreciate the patience and resilience of Nigerians as our economy shows promising signs of recovery. We acknowledge the hardships many of you face and are working tirelessly to stabilize key sectors, restore investor confidence, and build an economy that works for everyone.
This Easter, we also join the global Christian community in giving thanks for the recovery of Pope Francis. We pray that he continues to lead with renewed strength and inspiration.
May the spirit of Easter rekindle in every heart and home a renewed faith in Nigeria’s boundless potential. Just as Christ overcame death, we too shall overcome every challenge confronting us. Though these times may seem uncertain, they will give way to brighter days.
I urge all Nigerians to remain hopeful, united, and committed to our shared progress. The journey ahead is significant, but with faith, unity, and determination, there is no challenge we cannot overcome. Our strength lies in our unity and resilience.
May the risen Christ bless our families with peace, and our nation with unity and prosperity.
Wishing all Nigerians a joyful and blessed Easter.
