The Hisbah Board in Bauchi State has announced new restrictions on social events, banning the use of DJs and prohibiting women from attending male gatherings.

According to the directive, mixing of boys and girls is strictly forbidden, while dancing between the opposite sex — even in the presence of infants and children — is now classified as highly prohibited.

The enforcement body stated that the move is aimed at curbing “immoral practices” in the state, warning that violators will face sanctions under existing Sharia regulations.
