President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last Friday received the Director of MKO: The Documentary, Mr. Ose Oyamendan, at the State House, Abuja, ahead of the documentary’s scheduled premiere on October 1, 2026.

The meeting comes as preparations intensify for the premiere of the documentary, which is expected to be held simultaneously in Abuja and Lagos.

The film chronicles the life, legacy, and democratic contributions of Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola, widely regarded as a key figure in Nigeria’s democratic history.

The audience with the President underscores the significance attached to the documentary, which aims to preserve and promote the story of MKO Abiola’s role in the country’s democratic journey.

The October 1 premiere is expected to attract government officials, political leaders, members of the diplomatic community, and other stakeholders from across the country.
