IGP Appoints CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as New Force Public Relations Officer

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the appointment of CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO). Prior to this appointment, Hundeyin served as the Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Lagos State Police Command.

CSP Hundeyin is a seasoned communicator with extensive experience in police-public relations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language from Lagos State University, a Master’s degree in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan, and a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre, Jaji. He is also an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a Member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).

His career includes serving as PPRO for Zone 2 Command, Lagos, and representing Nigeria in the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan (UNAMID) in 2020. He also served as an Administration Officer at the Force Public Relations Department in Abuja.

The IGP has called on CSP Hundeyin to leverage his wealth of experience to further strengthen police-public relations across the country.
