First Lady Urges Greater Investment in Tourism, Seeks Stronger Nigeria-Qatar Partnership

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called for increased investment in the country’s tourism sector, describing it as a major avenue for job creation, economic growth and national development.

The First Lady made the call when she received Qatar’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Yousef Bin Mohammed Al-Hail, at the State House in Abuja. She highlighted Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks and natural attractions, noting that the tourism sector has significant potential that can be harnessed for economic benefit.

She also called for stronger Nigeria-Qatar collaboration in areas including tourism, education and other sectors of mutual interest, expressing optimism that deeper partnerships between both countries would further strengthen bilateral relations.

The Qatari Ambassador pledged to continue supporting efforts aimed at enhancing cooperation between Nigeria and Qatar, while describing Nigeria as a country with great potential and welcoming people.

The meeting underscores ongoing efforts to expand diplomatic, economic and cultural ties between the two nations.
