The Osun State Government has announced a ban on graduation ceremonies for nursery and kindergarten pupils across all public and private schools in the state.

In a directive issued to education stakeholders, the government stressed that the practice of organising elaborate graduation events at early childhood levels places unnecessary financial burdens on parents and guardians.

Authorities added that schools must instead focus on providing quality foundational learning rather than hosting social events, noting that the ban is part of wider reforms to strengthen basic education standards in Osun State.
