President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to General Lucky Irabor (rtd), former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), on his 60th birthday, lauding his courage, patriotism, and distinguished service to Nigeria.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described General Irabor as a true war commander and a defender of the nation who played a crucial role during the height of the Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East.

President Tinubu praised the retired general, who hails from Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, for his leadership and devotion to national unity and security.

The President also commended General Irabor for his recently launched book on the Boko Haram insurgency, noting that it would provide valuable insights to help the country better understand and address terrorism and related security threats.

Quoting General Irabor’s remarks at the book presentation in Abuja, President Tinubu recalled that the publication was intended as a soul-searching reflection, not an indictment of anyone.

President Tinubu wished the retired military leader many more years of sound health, happiness, and continued service to the nation.
