The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has organized its maiden Innovation Challenge 1.0, putting the digital creativity of serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members and I.T. students to the test.
The competition focused on developing digital tools that will enhance office efficiency within the agency, with potential for scalability across the country.
Participants showcased their solutions leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain technologies. At the end of the pitch session, six teams emerged as winners and received cash prizes, while NITDA also pledged startup support for all 23 participating teams.
Team X emerged as the overall winner of the competition.
The Innovation Challenge 1.0 is part of NITDA’s broader initiative to nurture young innovators capable of building homegrown technological solutions. The effort aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly his vision to train one million technical talents in the shortest possible time.
