The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted over 7.6 million Tramadol pills and 76,273kg of cannabis in major operations carried out across several states between December 1 and 6.

A key raid in Asaba, Delta State, uncovered 3.9 million Tramadol pills in a warehouse at Oko Market. Another 1.2 million tablets were seized from a vehicle on the Onitsha–Owerri Road in Imo State.
In Adamawa, officers intercepted a bus carrying over 1.5 million Tramadol and Exol-5 pills concealed in jumbo bags disguised as sandal shipments.

Raids in forest areas of Ekiti and Ondo also led to the recovery and destruction of large quantities of high-grade cannabis, including Colorado, Loud, and Skunk.

The nationwide operations resulted in 28 arrests, alongside the seizure of other substances such as 252 litres of codeine syrup.
NDLEA says the coordinated crackdown is part of efforts to dismantle trafficking networks operating across the country. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
