Nyesom Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has said his political career would be ruined if Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers State, secures a second term in office.
Wike made the remarks on Saturday during a stakeholders’ meeting in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State.
According to the former Rivers governor, a firm decision has already been taken regarding Fubara’s second-term ambition. He stated that supporting Fubara again would amount to a grave political error with serious consequences.
“We have made a decision as far as Tinubu is concerned. The other one, no way. If we make another mistake, then we will go and bury ourselves politically. I will not allow myself to be buried. I will not allow that mistake again,” Wike said.
He added that the position was final and urged stakeholders to take note, stressing that the decision had already been made.
