The Senate on Thursday confirmed the appointment of Dr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The confirmation followed his screening by lawmakers, during which he was assessed on his qualifications and readiness to serve in the Federal Executive Council.

Dr. Darma is expected to assume office following his swearing-in by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
