
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated veteran journalist, media entrepreneur, and All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Durosinmi “Duro” Meseko, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
In a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President joined family, friends, and associates in celebrating Meseko’s milestone, describing his career as one marked by notable contributions to media, communications, community development, and governance.
Meseko, who currently serves as the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is also the Chairman of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI). The President commended his years of service in public life, including his tenure as a member of the House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007, noting his consistent advocacy for policies aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerians.
President Tinubu further praised Meseko’s contributions as a journalist, legislator, entrepreneur, and party leader, highlighting his role in strengthening strategic communications within the governing party and fostering better understanding among leaders, members, and citizens.
He also acknowledged Meseko’s grassroots influence in his role as Asiwaju of Imososi Kingdom, noting his efforts in mobilising support, addressing community needs, and connecting citizens with governance structures.
The President prayed for continued blessings, good health, and greater accomplishments for Meseko and his family as he marks his 60th birthday.
