The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rescheduled its governorship primary elections in Bauchi and Kwara states to Friday, May 22, 2026.
The party also shifted the State House of Assembly primary elections for Maradun I and Maradun II constituencies in Zamfara State to Sunday, May 24, 2026.
The development was confirmed in a statement issued by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, who said the adjustments were made as part of the party’s ongoing primary election process ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The postponement comes amid intensified political consultations and internal alignments in some states, particularly Bauchi and Kwara, where stakeholders continue discussions ahead of the rescheduled exercises.
The APC has, however, assured party members and aspirants of a transparent and orderly primary process across the affected states.
