The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced plans to commission more than 30 completed projects across Abuja as part of activities marking the third anniversary of the current administration.
Wike disclosed that the commissioning exercise would span 31 days and feature the inauguration of major road networks, public infrastructure and urban renewal projects across the Federal Capital Territory.
The minister said the projects reflected significant investments in infrastructure development and were aimed at improving connectivity, public services and overall living conditions for residents of the nation’s capital. He noted that several of the projects had reached completion and were ready for inauguration.
Wike expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work on key projects inspected across the FCT, stressing that the administration remained committed to delivering critical infrastructure that would positively impact residents and support economic growth.
He added that the commissioning programme would showcase the progress recorded in Abuja’s infrastructure sector and highlight ongoing efforts to transform both the city centre and satellite towns.
