The United States has pledged to keep a close watch on Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, reaffirming its support for a credible, transparent, and peaceful electoral process in the country.

The assurance was given by U.S. Congressman Riley Moore, who said the administration of President Donald Trump remains committed to strengthening democratic institutions and ensuring that elections in Nigeria reflect the will of the people.
