Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has called on young people in the state to reject cultism and other social vices, urging them instead to embrace the values of integrity, hard work and excellence exemplified by renowned author Chinua Achebe.

Speaking at an event in honour of the late literary icon, Soludo described Achebe as a symbol of discipline, intellectual excellence and moral leadership whose legacy should inspire the younger generation.

The governor stressed that the future of Anambra depends on a generation committed to education, innovation and responsible citizenship rather than violence and criminality.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating opportunities for young people through education, skills development and economic empowerment, while intensifying efforts to combat cult-related activities and improve security across the state.

Soludo urged youths to draw inspiration from Achebe’s life and achievements, noting that enduring success is built on knowledge, character and service to society.
