Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s equivalent of Singapore’s founding Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew, citing the administration’s bold economic reforms and long-term development agenda.
Governor Uzodimma made the remarks during a state dinner in Owerri to mark the conclusion of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors National Media Tour and the Presidential Communications Team’s inspection of key Federal and Imo State Government projects.
According to the governor, President Tinubu assumed office in 2023 with a clear understanding of Nigeria’s economic challenges and has since implemented far-reaching reforms aimed at repositioning the country for sustainable growth and national development.
He acknowledged that some of the reforms have been difficult but argued that they were necessary to address long-standing structural challenges and lay the foundation for a stronger economy.
Uzodimma expressed confidence that the administration’s policies would deliver lasting benefits for Nigerians, describing President Tinubu’s leadership as visionary and transformational.
