Badminton Federation of Nigeria Appoints Blessing Chisalam as New Chief Operating Officer

The Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) has officially appointed Blessing Chisalam as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), a move designed to enhance the federation’s strategic vision and broaden the sport’s presence across Nigeria.

Chisalam, a seasoned sports scientist with a Master’s degree in Sports Management, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role. Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for Nigerian badminton, which has experienced rapid development at the grassroots, national, and international levels, solidifying its position as one of the country’s fastest-growing sports.

A Critical Appointment for Nigerian Badminton

As the sport continues to rise in popularity, the BFN aims to ensure sustainable growth, and Chisalam is poised to play a key role in driving the federation’s efficiency. Bukola Olopade, Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), lauded Chisalam’s appointment, emphasizing the importance of continued progress for Nigerian badminton.

Francis Orbih, President of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, also spoke on the significance of Chisalam’s appointment. He highlighted her qualifications and the expectations placed on her to foster badminton’s growth in Nigeria.
