Thierry Henry has officially stepped down as head coach of the France Under-21 national team.
The French Football Federation announced the resignation on Monday, citing “personal reasons” for Henry’s departure. Esteemed football journalist Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the news, noting that Henry chose to “terminate his contract” with the team for personal reasons.
Henry, a legendary forward with Arsenal and Barcelona, began his role with the France U21 team in 2023. His brief tenure culminated with the team reaching the finals of the 2024 Olympics, where they ultimately finished as runners-up to Spain.
