Newcastle United are on the brink of securing the services of Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. In a series of updates posted on Monday via X, Romano revealed that final details are being ironed out, with the Magpies confident of concluding the deal shortly.

“Newcastle are planning to get the deal done very soon,” Romano noted, adding that a full agreement with Burnley is nearly complete, with his trademark “here we go” announcement expected imminently.

Leverkusen Land Tillman in Big-Money Move

Elsewhere, Bayer Leverkusen have reached a verbal agreement to sign U.S. international Malik Tillman. Romano confirmed that all parties have settled on a deal worth between €35 and €40 million. The player has agreed to a long-term contract, while Bayern Munich have secured a buy-back clause as part of the agreement. Leverkusen now consider the deal effectively done.
