Manchester City have sealed a groundbreaking new kit deal with Puma, reportedly worth £1 billion ($1.34 billion) over the next decade—making it the most lucrative kit manufacturing agreement in Premier League history.
The new deal, which extends City’s partnership with the German sportswear giant until 2035, is said to be valued at £100 million per year. This marks a significant jump from the previous £65 million-per-year deal signed in 2019 and surpasses the £90 million annual contract Manchester United inked with Adidas in 2023.
Only Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona are believed to have kit deals that rival City’s in terms of annual value.
“We partnered with Puma to push boundaries and exceed expectations, and over the past six years, we’ve done just that,” said Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group. “Puma has become an integral part of our organisation, sharing in some of our most historic moments and helping us connect with fans around the world.”
Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld echoed the sentiment, saying: “Our collaboration with Manchester City has been a tremendous success both on and off the pitch—marked by trophies, commercial achievement, and a platform that showcases our performance innovations.”
The announcement comes on the heels of a rare trophyless season for Pep Guardiola’s side—their first since 2016-17. City finished third in the Premier League, suffered a surprise FA Cup final loss to Crystal Palace, and were eliminated in the Club World Cup’s round of 16 by Saudi side Al-Hilal.
