In a significant milestone for the Renewed Hope housing programme, the Federal Government is set to commission nearly completed housing units in Kano State as part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s nationwide affordable housing initiative.

This development follows a successful inspection tour by officials from the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, who confirmed that the housing units are in their final stages of completion. The project is one of several being executed across the country to address Nigeria’s housing deficit and promote inclusive urban development.

The Renewed Hope Agenda aims to provide decent, affordable, and accessible homes for Nigerians in all geopolitical zones. The housing estate in Kano features modern designs, basic infrastructure such as water, roads, and electricity, and is tailored to the needs of low and middle-income earners.

President Tinubu’s administration has prioritized mass housing delivery as a key pillar of national development, not only to improve the quality of life for Nigerians but also to stimulate local economies through job creation in the construction sector.

The Kano project is part of the first phase of the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates initiative, which targets the construction of thousands of housing units in partnership with state governments, the private sector, and development finance institutions.
