Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has confirmed that Ademola Lookman has expressed a long-standing desire to leave the club, with Inter Milan now making a formal move for the Nigerian forward.
Speaking today, Percassi stated:
“Lookman wants to leave since long time ago. We have a proposal from Inter but it’s us deciding timing and valuation for our own players.”
He emphasized that while the relationship between Atalanta and Inter remains positive, the Bergamo-based club will proceed on its own terms:
“We have good relationship and we will consider the proposal with our timing.”
Inter’s offer reportedly stands at €40m plus €5m in add-ons, but Atalanta are holding firm on their valuation as negotiations continue.
