The Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, on Thursday inspected the ongoing construction of the Okrika Borikiri Bridge in Rivers State. The visit is in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive to fast track infrastructure development under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Accompanied by top officials of the Ministry and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), the Minister assessed the quality and progress of work on the project, which is expected to significantly improve regional connectivity and stimulate economic growth.

Engr. Momoh commended the NDDC for the pace of implementation, describing the bridge as a legacy project that will ease transportation, enhance access to markets and services, and create new opportunities for residents of Okrika and Borikiri.

He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to delivering high-impact projects that improve lives and support regional integration, especially in the Niger Delta.

The Okrika Borikiri Bridge is among several strategic infrastructure initiatives being undertaken by the NDDC to promote economic inclusion and uplift communities in line with President Tinubu’s national development vision.
