During a bilateral meeting in Beijing with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, President Bola Tinubu emphasized Africa’s vast opportunities for investment, growth, and development, citing the continent’s vibrant population, productive economy, and abundant natural resources. 

Tinubu praised the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) for fostering mutual development and prosperity, stating that the partnership is rooted in respect and a shared goal of development, peace, and stability. He stressed the importance of focusing on strategic areas of collaboration to ensure the relationship benefits both sides.

As Chairman of ECOWAS, Tinubu expressed his satisfaction with the strategic partnership and appreciation for the warm reception from the Chinese government. He reaffirmed Nigeria’s readiness to advance the partnership and tackle mutual challenges.

Premier Li Qiang assured China’s commitment to working with Nigeria to fulfill the goals set by the comprehensive strategic partnership between President Xi Jinping and President Tinubu.
