“Save for Therapy Too” — Zlatan Ibile Advises Rising Artistes

Rapper Zlatan Ibile has urged up-and-coming artistes to make mental health a priority as they pursue fame and success in the music industry.

Sharing the advice on his X page on Thursday, the Zanku hitmaker said that just as new artistes and their sponsors budget for marketing and promotion, they should also set money aside for professional therapy. According to him, the music industry is not only financially demanding but also “emotionally tasking.”

Zlatan’s message echoes the experiences of several Nigerian musicians who, over the years, have opened up about falling into depression while navigating the pressures of stardom. His call highlights the growing need for mental health awareness within the entertainment industry.
