President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Engineer Biodun Otunola, Managing Director of Planet Projects Limited, on his appointment as the Honorary Lagos Consul of the United Mexican States.

Otunola, a renowned civil engineer and transport planner, was conferred with the appointment during the celebration of Mexico’s 215th Independence Day in Abuja on Monday, September 15, 2025.

The President praised Otunola’s contributions to the development of critical transport infrastructure across Nigeria, particularly in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu, while also commending his role in strengthening ties between Nigeria and Mexico.

President Tinubu encouraged the new Honorary Consul to use the recognition as a platform to deepen trade and investment relations between both countries, stressing that such efforts will deliver long-term benefits to citizens. He further assured Otunola of his support in expanding his professional and diplomatic engagements across Africa and beyond.
