Residents of Port Harcourt, including politicians and key stakeholders, have gathered at the Government House in anticipation of the arrival of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, following the end of emergency rule in the state.

Groups of residents, many dressed in their respective uniforms, are standing outside the Government House gates, eagerly awaiting the governor’s arrival. The atmosphere is one of excitement and anticipation as citizens prepare to welcome the state’s democratically elected leadership.

Speaking to NTA News, residents expressed satisfaction over the restoration of democratic governance in Rivers State. They voiced optimism that the return to democratic rule will bring about accelerated development and improved governance in the state.
