President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged captains of industry to support his administration’s efforts in sustaining the downward trend in the prices of commodities, particularly food items.

The President made the call on Wednesday during a meeting with the Chairman of BUA Group, Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu, at the State House in Abuja. Discussions at the meeting focused on strategies to reduce food prices and strengthen economic stability.

Speaking after the meeting, Alhaji Rabiu commended President Tinubu for reforms that have contributed to stabilising the economy, including the duty waiver on certain food imports and the harmonisation of foreign exchange rates.

He also encouraged Nigerians to continue supporting the administration to ensure that the positive trajectory in commodity prices is maintained.
