The Federal Government has reaffirmed its determination to position Nigeria as Africa’s premier investment hub by forging stronger partnerships with Nigerians in the diaspora who are leading major global investment institutions.

In Lagos on Monday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu engaged with Hakeem Belo-Osagie, Chairman of Metis Capital, and Bayo Ogunlesi, Chairman and Chief Executive of Global Infrastructure Partners and BlackRock. Discussions centered on scaling up investments in Nigeria’s upstream oil and gas sector and critical infrastructure projects that are key to long-term growth and national prosperity.

President Tinubu noted that ongoing economic reforms are unlocking new frontiers for sustainable financing and global capital inflows, while creating an enabling environment for transformative projects. He stressed that credible investors from within and outside the country remain vital partners in delivering energy security, modern infrastructure, and inclusive development for Nigeria and Africa at large.
