The Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, on Monday received the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, in his office to explore new areas of collaboration aimed at advancing digital transformation across the state.
Dr. Tijani commended Governor Radda’s commitment to building a modern digital economy, noting Katsina’s achievements in adopting a free Right of Way (RoW) policy, enacting a state digital policy law, and expanding internet connectivity. He said these initiatives align with the Federal Government’s broader goal of empowering states to build strong and inclusive digital ecosystems.
Governor Radda reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to deepen cooperation with the Federal Ministry, particularly under the National Broadband Alliance initiative, to extend fibre connectivity to all local government areas in the state.
The Minister assured that the Federal Government will continue to support Katsina’s digital growth through the establishment of an Innovation Hub and the implementation of key programmes such as the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) initiative, aimed at boosting digital skills and innovation nationwide.
