
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accepted the resignation of Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, following recent allegations against him.
Nnaji, who was appointed in August 2023, tendered his resignation in a letter addressed to the President, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve the nation. He described his time in office as a privilege and noted that he had become a target of political blackmail, prompting his decision to step aside.
Presidential sources confirmed that President Tinubu acknowledged the minister’s resignation and commended him for his contributions to the administration’s innovation and technology agenda.
The President also wished him success in his future endeavours, assuring that the ministry’s work would continue seamlessly in line with the Renewed Hope vision of his administration.
